Trends come and go. But there is one that has been around for quite some time now and that will most likely stay – at least for the next seasons. Of course, I am talking about sock boots.
For those of you who do not know what they are: sock boots are the combination of classic high heels and socks. The fabric is quite soft and in most cases there is no zipper or anything like that. Another quite noticeable thing about them is that they go a little bit higher up the legs than regular ankle boots.
Overall, they are a new and modern take on the classic black bootie. This makes them quite easy to combine. But there are a few things to keep in mind: Sock boots work really well when you give them enough space to shine on their own or if you incorporate them by tucking your pants into them or wear tights underneath. When doing the ladder, I would advise you to wear either the same or a quite similar color as the one of the sock boots. This way, you will have legs for days! In addition to that, it is quite essential that you play around with different textures and fabrics. Otherwise, the sock boots might just look like… well… socks, I guess. And that is not cute. So make sure to combine them with some nice fabrics to elevate the look.
Many people wear them with mom jeans over it, which can be quite cool. But that is nothing that I would personally do. To see what I would do instead, keep on reading! ♥
flirty and fun
With this first outfit, I had the most fun. I found this beautiful wrap dress online at Shein and immediately loved the shape and the bright orange pattern. The length of it worked perfectly with the sock boots because they had just enough space on their own to really be an eye-catcher. The fabrics look very good together because they are relatively matte, which I especially love about my sock boots. It took me such a long time to find the perfect pair and I finally got it at Primark. The seams are not very obvious, the texture is amazing and the height is perfect.
As it is always fun to play around with different layers, I added my favorite jean jacket over it. This brought the look together and made the orange appear even brighter than before.
I kept my hair and makeup simple. The only thing I did differently from my everyday look is that I created a very simple half updo by putting some of my hair into a ponytail. This did not only take the hair out of my face, but also added some nice texture and volume to it.
The only accessories that I wore with this look are Primark earrings. They have a simple shape and feature many different colors – two of them being orange and blue, which were already existent in the look.
I actually ended up loving this look even more than I thought when first putting it together. I tucked in black highwaisted disco pants (with a shiny fabric) into my Primark sock boots and wore a long Bershka blouse with beautiful burgundy tones and a delicate floral print over it. It is very see-through, what I absolutely love about it because that does not only make it look very light but also feel like it. Under it, I wore a black top.
I felt like the silhouette and the color pattern of this outfit spoke for itself, so I opted for neutral options with hair, makeup and jewelry.
I just did my everyday makeup look, twisted one strand of my otherwise naturally wavy hair back and put in some beautiful Parfois earrings. You will see those a lot in the future because they are one of my favorite pairs for sure.
To sinch in my waist and add another interesting focus point to the look, I wore a vintage-looking belt that I got on Amazon. I have been wanting one of those belts for a while now and this one has the perfect pattern. Especially, when it is twisted around itself like this, it makes any outfit more interesting and edgy.
I did not want to wear a black bag with this look because it was quite dark to begin with, so I looked for a neutral-toned alternative. This Fritzi aus Preußen bag was the perfect match for sure!
This article would not be complete without a more elegant look featuring sock boots. I chose to wear a H&M dress with a blue floral pattern. What I love about this is that the flowers seem to fade into the black background and of course the stunning sleeve details that really showcase the structure of the fabric.
This ring might ring a bell with most of you. It is a replica of Prince William´s engagement ring for Kate Middleton. And in this case, it fit into the color scheme perfectly. The dark blue center of the ring has the exact same color as some of the flowers and the rhinestones around it reflect the lighter hues of this dress.
Makeup-wise, I went for a natural look again – I guess there is a pattern here. But I decided to add a soft navy blue liner to my upper lash line for some extra definition.
With the earrings, I wanted to stay in the floral theme. Therefore, I chose to wear one of my recent finds: silver Mango earrings.

Of course, it would not be fair to let you go without giving you some sock-boot-options. Like I said earlier, it took me ages to find the right pair for me. Maybe I can make this easier for you. Here is a collection of sock boots that you might like. Enjoy!
