Hello, nice to meet you! My name is Lina and I am new to blogging. Since we don´t know each other yet, I thought I would share some random facts about me with you.
- My birth date is the 9th of July. I am an only child.
- My second name is Marie.
- I was born and raised in a very small town in Northrhine-Westphalia, but I moved to Berlin when I started attending university to study communication design.
- Two of my favorite childhood memories are my mum reading me bedtime stories and my dad dancing with me and swirling me around to Alanis Morissette.
- My favorite subjects in school were Art, Pedagogy, German and English.
- I did my first internship in London. It enabled me to really grow as a person – I had the best time! Also, I turned sweet 16 during that time, so that was cool.
- I enjoy developing creative concepts. It´s something that I am very passionate about – especially when I am able to incorporate calligraphy.
- I used to dance a lot and was part of a dance crew for a while.
- I wish I could sing because I can´t go a day without listening to music and I know all of the words to many songs, but I sound horrendous unfortunately.
- I hate riding the bike.
- There´s not many things that truly relax me, but doing a creative makeup look always calms me down. I could spend hours and hours doing that.
- My favorite fruit is mango.
- I prefer vanilla over chocolate. But brownies are the best!
- In my opinion, McDonalds makes the best fries ever.
- I don´t like coffee. Like at all.
- My favorite snack is an apple with peanut butter.
- Whenever I go out for cocktails, I always order a Cosmopolitan – not only because the Sex and the City ladies always used to drink it, but because I actually enjoy it… probably too much.
- If you want to make me instantly happy, play “Let´s dance to Joy Division” by The Wombats (I even have a quote from that song hanging on my wall) and give me cheesecake and/or After Eight. Yes, it is that easy.
- I cannot stress enough how much I love the Harry Potter series! I stopped counting how many times I read the books and watched the movies. But when I was little, I was absolutely terrified of him, who must not be named – he was the protagonist of my nightmares.
- My favorite fairytale is Cinderella, but I have always really liked The Beauty and the Beast as well. The scene where they step down the stairs separately in their gorgeous attire and then dance gets me every time.
- Some of my favorite YouTubers and bloggers are Pixiwoo and Inthefrow. They really inspired me to do what I love to do!
- My favorite musicians are Lady Gaga, Taylor Swift, Panic at the Disco, The Wombats and The Pretty Reckless. The first concert that I remember attending was Lady Gaga.
- My all time favorite holiday destination and also my favorite city is New York City. I have been there three times already and I cannot wait to go again.
- I never leave my house without my phone. I don´t know whether that is sad or not, but that´s how it is.
- I am addicted to Netflix. I love re-watching different series. My personal favorites are Sex and the City, Gossip Girl, Scrubs, Modern Family, White Collar and Suits.
- My favorite flowers are peonies. Red roses are a close second.
- Whenever I go for a walk, I always find myself in stores after a while. Oops.
- I don´t really have fashion icons that I base my style on, I just wear what I like, but if I had to name someone whose sense of fashion I adore, it would be Blake Lively for sure.
- The name fashionprompter was actually invented by my dad. We watched TV together and some girl called herself a “fashion dictator”. My father said: “That´s not what you are. You are more like a fashion prompter.” And here we are…
- Even though I find them fascinating on other people, I don´t have tattoos and I don´t think that I am ever going to get one.
- High Heels have a special place in my heart!
- I was lucky enough to get a lot of good advice, but there were two sayings that really stood out: “Everything happens for a reason” and “You don´t need to be saved, you can do that yourself”.
- Someone once told me that I inspired them to create more and better things and that was the best compliment that I ever received.
- Madonna once told us to “express ourselves” and I try to live by that.
- For photos, I don´t mind to go out of my comfort zone, but in real life I am actually very cautious.
- I have an all-or-nothing type of personality and am a perfectionist. I wish I could stress less.
- If I could give my younger self any advice, I would tell her to think less and enjoy more.
I hope that you got to know me a little bit and am so excited to go on this journey with you. Thank you for stopping by and taking your time to browse my little corner of the internet.
I would love to get to know you as well – feel free to tell me something about you in the comments! ♥
